Our full-day trip to Volubilis & Meknes from Fez should start early, After a healthy breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver from your Riad, and then we will be heading to Volubilis, the UNESCO-protected Roman archaeological site. Spend time exploring this ancient Roman town of Volubilis, and visitors are sure to be captivated by its well-preserved mosaics, palaces, baths, and soaring arches. Subsequently, we will drive to Moulay Idriss, the town which is one of the country’s most important spiritual sites founded by a great-grandson of the Prophet Mohammed in the late 8th century. Our journey then takes us to Meknes, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Meknes is home to many palaces and mosques, as well as impressive gates such as Bab Mansour. The old city of Meknes is surrounded by thick ramparts. In the afternoon, we will commence the drive back to Fes, and drop you off at your Riad.
