Embark on a 6-day Morocco Imperial Cities Tour, starting from Marrakech. After an early breakfast, head towards the desert, passing through Ifran, known as “Moroccan Switzerland,” and the cedar forest of Azrou. Continue through the Atlas landscapes and the Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga near the Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night at a desert campsite. On the second day, explore Todgha Gorge and continue to Boumaline Dades, enjoying the scenic valleys and Berber villages. Spend the night in a hotel or riad. Day three includes a 4X4 tour of the Merzouga dunes, visiting nomadic Berber families, and experiencing traditional Gnaoua music. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset and a Berber dinner under the stars. Travel through Roses Valley, Skoura, and Ouarzazate, visiting the Amridil Kasbah and Ait Ben Haddou. Spend the night in a local hotel or riad. On the fifth day, explore Ait Ben Haddou and Talouet Kasbah before returning to Marrakech. Finally, on the last day, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech’s famous Medina, historic buildings, and vibrant markets.

Discover the rich heritage and vibrant culture of Morocco with a 6-day Imperial Cities Tour. This itinerary explores iconic cities like Fes, Marrakech, Rabat, and Meknes, offering a captivating journey through Morocco’s historical treasures and architectural marvels.
Our 6-day tour of Morocco’s imperial cities from Marrakech begins in the morning after an early breakfast. We’ll start our journey towards the desert, passing through Ifran, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland”, and the cedar forest of Azrou. Driving through the Atlas landscapes, we’ll reach the Ziz Valley, with its extensive palm groves, before arriving in Merzouga near the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Spend the night at a desert campsite nestled among the dunes, immersing yourself in the desert experience.
After breakfast, we’ll depart from the Sahara dunes and head towards Erfoud. From there, we’ll take the route to Tineghir and Todra Canyon. Stop to visit the canyon, perched at 1,350m altitude and surrounded by a palm grove. Continue to Boumaline Dades, where we’ll enjoy a scenic tour through valleys, Berber villages, kasbahs, and contrasting landscapes of palm trees and vegetation.
Spend the night at a hotel or riad, relaxing after a day of exploration.
After breakfast, we’ll depart with a 4X4 vehicle to explore the dunes, visiting nomadic Berber families along the way for tea and conversation. We’ll also visit the fossil area to learn about the desert’s natural resources and experience a traditional Gnaoua music demonstration by the Bambaras group of Khamlia.
In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a camel excursion to reach the camp nestled at the base of the dunes, enjoying the unforgettable sunset. This natural spectacle will leave a lasting impression.
Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner at the camp, set to the rhythmic beats of drums under the moon and stars, surrounded by dunes and a campfire.
After breakfast, we’ll head towards Roses Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in southeast Morocco. This valley comes to life each April and May when local women pick roses for nearby factories in Kalaat, boosting the area’s economy.
Our journey continues to Skoura, where we can visit the Amridil Kasbah and drive through the palm grove. We’ll then reach Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa”. Here, we can visit the Cinema Museum, snap a beautiful picture of Taourirt Kasbah, and continue on to Ait Ben Haddou.
Spend the night at a hotel or riad, resting after a day of exploration in this captivating region.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey by visiting the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou with a local guide. This fortress town, built in adobe, has been featured in numerous films and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Driving back to Marrakech via the Ounila Valley, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the Talouet Kasbah, once belonging to the Pasha of Marrakech and renowned for its beauty.
Finally, we’ll drive back to Marrakech and drop you off at your riad or hotel, concluding our day of exploration.
Guide will meet us at the lobby of our Riad and take us on a complete tour of the famous Medina, including the historic building and world noted markets.
